Prior to 2020 I’m not sure how many people I killed whilst NEVER wearing a mask. The whole idea is preposterous and insane.

Yes, blaming people for spreading illness because they do not wear a mask is wrong.

Also, health authorities should provide information about whether or not there has been a significant increase in the number of deaths due to common airborne viruses compared to past years and decades. Illness is stressful, but it is also a part of life. In Ottawa, the argument is being made that schools cannot function well because many teachers are catching illnesses from unmasked children, etc. First, I don't think the evidence that mask wearing helps is nearly as strong as some health authorities present. But even if masks do make some difference, it is unreasonable to ask people to study and work in masks every time that hospitals or schools are struggling--possibly for several months on end. We should find ways to keep hospitals and schools functioning without blaming the people of "sin" in the form of not wearing masks.
