Most people in the West seem to have no concept whatsoever of the deep psychological horror that was committed against Israel on October 7th (and everyday since) by Hamas' genocidal attack against Israel. Western society is completely morally bankrupt (with Canada leading the pack) – I am utterly disgusted that the West is so blind to the true horror of what the murder of the Bibas children represents.

Western liberals treat this war as if there should be some kind of "proportional response" – but what is the "proportionate response" to an aggressor that has made it a policy to erase the entire Israeli nation, that uses its own children as a shield to serve as a propaganda tool, that murders its own citizens if they critize Hamas, and that deliberately stokes the war in the hope of drawing other nations into it in order to achieve its goal to destroy Israel? The hypocrisy and double standards are astounding.

I pray for Israel.

Thank you, Julius. Your moral clarity truly distinguishes you. Instead of exploiting Israel's tragedy to enjoy the pleasures of bullying and the delusion of superiority, as too many others have done, you understand Israel's tragic predicament and stand with those who genuinely want peace. Israel (like many other countries, but in many other countries the stakes do not seem as immediately high) has corrupt politicians and organizational leaders who failed to defend it from Hamas--but a part of that failure has been not just corruption but also the emotional difficulty to believe and confront the evil of Hamas. Israel has a culture that seeks normalcy and would generally like to live in peace and stability--but it has enemies who are passionate about sadistic war, and who on October 7 murdered and kidnapped several peace activists, among many other civilians--and who actively and deeply believe in the destruction of Israel and in their own ability to influence the West. It is a grave mistake for people in the West to assert moral superiority over Israel--and I am grateful that you are seeing this hypocrisy for what it is. The Hamas and related organizations are counting on the hypocrisy of the West as an instrument for trying to influence, use and control the West. In the recent interview with 60 Minutes (see link below), Yarden Bibas shared how the terrorists who held him hostage glibly told him that the murder of Shiri, Ariel and Kfir "does not matter" because he would get "new wife, new kids, better wife, better kids." Ultimately, this might be how they rationalize sadistic terrorism--they are bringing about a "new" and "better" world ruled by them.

The blind spot that neo-liberalism has developed for the ideas pushed by Hamas and other related organizations is terrifying. It's grotesque watching the West condemn Israel for trying to defend itself against a ideological movement that is trying erase the entire Israeli state -- I'm in shock that so few can see this for what it is.

Anti-colonialism beliefs that are so "in vogue" in the West -- including the Canadian "land acknowledgements" -- are all rooted in an anti-Western ethos that has been leveraged by the Palestinian "liberation" movement .They feed off each other, with the former being used to legitimize the false Palestinian "occupation" narrative even as clandestine funding networks from the latter spills over into the former.

It's always been easier to appease rather than confront hostile ideas, but this will be the West's downfall if it doesn't wake up soon and rediscover its spine to defend the ideas underpining Judeo-Christian civilization.

Thanks, Julius. I am in shock too--but at the same time this has always been what antisemitism has been about: a kind of irresistible pleasure for the people who partake in it--the pleasure of feeling superior, the pleasure of being a bully. What people indeed do not understand is how self-destructive antisemitism is, and today it is more true than ever because blindness to the anti-Western agenda of Hamas and related organizations can lead to these agendas embedding themselves within the elite in the West in ways that would be very difficult to undo. People who carelessly collaborate with the idea that "Israel is temporary" (which equals the attempted genocide of millions of Israelis) will have to wake up to the reality that those who want to make Israel "temporary" also want to make many other things temporary--such as liberty and relative class equality in the West. Right now, Israel haters in the West are de facto collaborating with Hamas while still believing that their own liberties and lifestyle will remain protected. One day they might have to wake up to the reality that the Hamas also views the liberty of its Western collaborators as a "temporary accommodation."

Those who cannot understand through truth and empathy will have to get used to a world in which there is a sovereign Jewish state and the Jews cannot be as easily used as a punching bag.
