The name of this blog, oldwildhorses, is inspired by Julius Ruechel’s essay about resisting COVID conformity in which he describes wild horses who refuse to be tamed as a metaphor for acting on principle < https://www.juliusruechel.com/2021/07/the-emperor-has-no-clothes-finding.html>.

I am not a wild horse because I enjoy working pragmatically.  However, there is one principle that should not be tamed or compromised: the right to ask questions and to think peacefully and freely in a manner that may differ in some respects from widely accepted narratives.
